Traction tables, or spinal traction tables, offer a form of decompression therapy that relieves pressure on the spine. It can be performed manually or mechanically. Spinal traction is used to treat herniated discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, and many other back conditions. Manual and mechanical traction has been utilized for years as a solution in the treatment  of spinal conditions involving nerve root impingement and sagittal spine alignment. Stretching the spine helps reduce pressure on the intervertebral disc, relieves compression and irritation of the nerve roots and improves sagittal spine alignment.
